Buchelnikov Approaching? and Robertson Trade Rumors

Could the latest Detroit Red Wings star be from Russia – and is he on his way?

Tune in as we discuss the news of Dmitri Buchelnikov’s Vityaz team in the KHL potentially dissolving, meaning he would be free to join the Grand Rapids Griffins and/or the Detroit Red Wings sooner than expected – what would that mean for other prospects like Brandsegg-Nygard (3:55)? Also, Steve Yzerman signing Jesse Kiiskinen to his entry-level contract, and what’s next for the Finnish star (15:10).

With Jason Robertson in trade rumors, would he be a worthwhile add for Steve Yzerman to bolster the Detroit Red Wings offense alongside Dylan Larkin, Lucas Raymond, Alex DeBrincat, Marco Kasper, and Patrick Kane? Would Sandin Pellikka, Danielson, or more be the ask, and how would his contract compare to Rantanen’s? (19:30)

After that, notes on Brock Nelson and Yanni Gourde signing, a conversation on income tax advantages in the NHL (36:20), and whether Jonathan Toews, Max Pacioretty, and Nic Hague could be potential Detroit Red Wings additions by Steve Yzerman (47:10).

Next, our 2025 NHL Entry Draft Prospect Profile on Cullen Potter (and whether his comparisons to Dylan Larkin are accurate) as well as a revisit on Radim Mrtka (54:35).

All of that & lots more before we take your questions and comments in our Overtime segment (1:06:40) – enjoy!
