Is Aaron Ekblad the answer for Detroit’s blue line? Tune in as we discuss whether the Florida Panthers defenseman should be Steve Yzerman’s target in NHL free agency to help Moritz Seider, Simon Edvinsson, Albert Johansson, and future Axel Sandin Pellikka defend in Hockeytown, how Vladislav Gavrikov compares as a free agency target, whether Dante Fabbro and other pieces could be a viable alternative, and if Yzerman should focus on Marner, Ehlers, Marchand, or others on offense to help Larkin, Raymond, DeBrincat, Kasper, Kane, and the forwards (4:20).

Next, we discuss reports of Yzerman being interested in improving the Red Wings goalie situation, where they stand now in terms of Cam Talbot, Petr Mrazek, Alex Lyon, Sebastian Cossa, Trey Augustine, and others in the pipeline, and whether someone like John Gibson or Thatcher Demko could be a worthwhile target (32:30).
