Yzerman and McLellan Speak (Response to Larkin?)

Steve Yzerman and Todd McLellan finally took to the podium to address Hockeytown.

Tune in as we cover the Detroit Red Wings presser from GM Steve Yzerman and head coach Todd McLellan, including how they were addressing Dylan Larkin’s comments, thoughts on pro scouting, their plan to bolster the core of Larkin, Lucas Raymond, Simon Edvinsson, Moritz Seider, Alex DeBrincat, Patrick Kane, and the rest of the Detroit Red Wings, what they expect out of Copp, Compher, Tarasenko, Holl, and others, whether Sebastian Cossa is ready, blunt non-comments on Jake Walman, & more (4:05).

After that, an update as Sebastian Cossa, Axel Sandin Pellikka, and the Grand Rapids Griffins dropped their first game of the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs, as well as an NHL Draft Lottery update (29:45).

Next, NHL news including Mike Sullivan and Rick Tocchet being available, and a Stanley Cup Playoffs update (will Mitch Marner, Auston Matthews, and the Toronto Maple Leafs do the unthinkable?) (35:21) before jumping into our 2025 NHL Draft Prospect Profile on Jackson Smith of the Tri-City Americans, and if he can be the LHD answer alongside Simon Edvinsson on the Red Wings blue line (55:40).

All of that and plenty more before we take your questions and comments in our Overtime segment (1:03:30) – enjoy!
